We are sorry about the disruption to your waste collections due to recent adverse weather conditions. All collection crews are working today but icy conditions in the North continue to disrupt some collections, particularly along some of the smaller rural roads.
Here is what you need to know:
- No need to contact us about missed collections if your whole road was missed. We already know where collections are outstanding and are working on a recovery plan.
- Refuse Collections. The collection crews will make every effort to return to collect the missed refuse bins.
- Recycling and Garden waste collections. Due to resource constraints, the waste contractor will not be able to return to collect the missed recycling and garden waste bins. Please place these out on your next scheduled collection.
- Extra garden waste. The collection crew will be accepting a reasonable amount of extra garden waste in heavy-duty bags (untied) on your next scheduled collection if your garden waste bin has been missed.
- Extra recycling. This can be placed in white or clear bags (no black sacks) next to the recycling bin. All glass must be put into the recycling bin.
