Draft Open Space SPG 2003
In February 2003, the Council published a Draft Outdoor Playing Space Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG) document for consultation. This document provides guidance in relation to calculating commuted payments for the off-site provision of open space and the operation of the commuted payment system. The Wealden Playing Pitch and Outdoor Sports Strategy has been undertaken by Knight, Kavanagh & Page (KKP) Ltd. The study presents a supply and demand assessment of playing pitches and other outdoor sports in accordance with Sport England Guidance. The assessment considers cricket, football, rugby union, hockey, bowls, tennis, netball and stoolball.

Wealden District Council Open Space – Assessment Report (April 2022)
The Wealden Open Space Assessment Report has been undertaken by Knight, Kavanagh & Page (KKP) Ltd. The study presents research and findings in relation to open space provision in the area, its condition, distribution, accessibility and its quality and value. The study will help inform the direction on the future provision of accessible, high quality, sustainable open spaces in Wealden and will help to inform the priorities for open space provision in the future.

Wealden District Council – Indoor Sports Facility Needs Assessment (March 2022)
The Indoor Sports Facility Needs Assessment and Strategy was undertaken in March 2022, by Strategic Leisure Limited. The study presents research and findings in relation to the existing position of indoor built facilities, their condition, distribution, accessibility, quality, and value and assesses the need for future built Sports Facilities within the District. The study will inform the direction of future provision of accessible, high quality, and sustainable indoor built facilities in Wealden and will help to inform the priorities for their development going forward.
