On 24th July 2019 Wealden District Council formally adopted the Herstmonceux Parish Neighbourhood Plan which can be viewed and downloaded below with the adoption statement;

Post referendum, a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) and Habitats Regulations Assessment has been undertaken on the Herstmonceux Neighbourhood plan.

Post Examination
Following the receipt of the examiner’s report on 6 February 2018 the modifications to the Herstmonceux Parish Council Neighbourhood Plan were approved by the Portfolio Holder for Planning and Development on 21 February 2018 as a Portfolio Holder Decision, which was effective from 1 March 2018. Regulation 16 – Pre submission consultation on a Draft Neighbourhood Plan
Consultation on the Pre Submission Herstmonceux Neighbourhood Plan closed on 6th November 2017. Below are the responses received together with the documents which formed the subject of the consultation.
All comments submitted during the consultation period will be passed onto an appointed independent examiner along with a copy of the Neighbourhood Plan and the supporting documents. The role of an independent examiner is to consider whether the submitted plan meets the statutory requirements set out in the legislation and consider the area the referendum should apply to.
