The street theatre performances took place in Crowborough, Heathfield, Hailsham and this weekend the final event goes ahead in Uckfield high street this Saturday between 11.30am–2.30pm.

The street artists and performances were fully funded through the council’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund from the Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities. The events are being delivered by local events company, 18 Hours.

Audiences could be seen lining the high streets to watch and interact with comedy circus troupes, acrobatic and theatre groups and walkabout performances from the Flying Buttresses, Hodmand & Sally, Circo Rum Ba Ba with Restoration Ladies, and Dolly Delicious on skates,

Councillor Paul Coleshill, Alliance for Wealden (Liberal Democrat) and lead councillor for Climate Change and Economy, said, “These activities were great fun and suitable for all ages. This has been the second year that we have run these events and performances and it has been nice to support and celebrate our high streets and the importance of them.”
