Who?

This is an exciting time to join the Legal Services Team at Wealden District Council. We are a shared legal service carrying out work for Wealden and Rother District Councils. The service provides a crucial role in delivering client focused and professional legal advice, support and assistance to our internal clients.

We are continuing to grow our Legal Team to ensure we can deliver our clients’ objectives and aspirations. We are looking for a Legal Support Administrator to join our friendly team.

You will be team orientated but able to work autonomously, with strong organisational and communication skills. Any exposure to work within a legal environment and/or the local government sector is desirable but not essential.

What will you be doing?

You will be:

  • Supporting lawyers within the team with administrative tasks and ensuring the smooth delivery of our services to our internal client teams;
  • Responsible for overseeing the operation of essential IT systems within the team, such as our Legal Case Management system; and
  • Identifying and implementing continual improvements in the team’s procedures and processes.

 

What do you need?

  • Experience working within an office environment.
  • The ability to communicate confidently and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
