Wealden District Council is seeking up to two Independent Members to join our Audit, Finance, and Governance Committee — a pivotal team that ensures transparency, accountability, and high standards across the council.

What You’ll Do
As an Independent Member, you will:
- Assist in overseeing internal and external audit arrangements.
- Assess governance, risk management, and control systems.
- Provide independent assurance to Council members, residents, and stakeholders.
- Attend four in-person committee meetings per year (with occasional training and events).
