Paying my council rent
Your rent is due every Monday and can be paid using the following methods. You will need your housing rents reference number when making payments.
By Direct Debit
Download the direct debit form if you haven’t already set up a Direct Debit for your rent. You can currently pay by Direct Debit on 5th or 20th of each month.
Using my rent payment card at a post office or pay point
For a new rent payment card email or telephone us using the contact information at the bottom of this page giving us your name and address.
By Standing Order
Please contact your bank for details on how to set up a standing order. You will need the Council’s bank account details which are detailed below. Standing Order forms are available from by calling us using the contact information at the bottom of this page.
Through Your Bank
Most banks offer internet or phone banking services, including bill paying services, or you can pay by debit card or cheque at the counter. Your bank’s website will give you instructions on how to register and pay bills. The Council may be already on the bank’s payment system but if not you will need to give the Council’s bank details.

The Council’s Internet Payment system
Make a Payment Using Our Online Payments System Payments can be made by debit card or by credit card (Visa, Mastercard and Maestro). There is no charge for using this service. American Express, Diners Club and Electron cards cannot be accepted.
