There is a wide range of ways in which you can keep up to date with planning applications and we encourage you to use our services.
From 1st November 2020 we made changes on the notification of planning applications. For more information visit the update on how we notify on Planning Applications.
Each week we produce and publish a list of planning applications that have been validated in the previous week.
You can view this list on the weekly list page.
We provide an email alert service which will update you when new information is added to an application. The service will also tell you when a decision on an application is issued.
Subscribe by following the simple steps.
- Go to planning.wealden.gov.uk
- Accept the disclaimer
- Enter the application number in the search box
- Click on the application number
- Click on the box ‘Subscribe’
- Enter your name and email address
- Click Subscribe
To unsubscribe:
- Go to planning.wealden.gov.uk
- Accept the Disclaimer
- Enter the planning application number in the search box
- If the system already has you logged in, click on the unsubscribe button (this will then stop the email alerts)
- If only the Subscribe button is displayed, click on this button and enter the name and email address which was used originally to set up this part of the system
- Click on unsubscribe to stop the email alerts
- Click on the sign out button.
Each week the council advertises applications we are required to do so by law in local papers.

Wealden Weekly is a weekly email update from Wealden District Council. You can use this service to find out about planning applications near you within a pre-defined area.
Wealden Weekly will only show three applications in the area you have chosen and may not necessarily be the ones immediately closest to you.
For a full list search the online planning register where you can carry out broader searches using the advanced search facility for example by Parish and decision type.
You can follow our Planning Social Media Account X – formerly known as Twitter for general updates and news from the planning department including information on new applications, appeal decisions, how we are performing as well as general information to help keep you informed.
The account is not monitored and we do not use the account to respond to any comments or queries that are raised, for example when the Planning X account is tagged or commented on.
