Boundary and Electoral Reviews

Local Government Reviews

The Local Government Boundary Commission for England (LGBCE) is required by law to review the electoral arrangements for every principal local authority to ensure that the number of electors represented by each councillor in an area is as nearly as possible the same. The Commission can also recommend changes to the electoral arrangements of town and parish councils.     The LGBCE has recently undertaken a review of the County Council Electoral Divisions and District Council Wards.  The LGBCE published is final recommendations for the County Council Divisions and District Council Wards on 27 September 2016.

Parish Review

The 2018 Review of Parliamentary Constituencies

In February 2016 the Boundary Commission for England announced a new review of Parliamentary constituencies in England. A Parliamentary boundary is intended to keep the number of electors in each constituency broadly equal. The Commission must make its final report and recommendations in September 2018. Review of Polling Districts and Polling Places 2018

The Returning Officer has conducted a review of polling stations within the Wealden District prior to the scheduled District & Parish Elections in 2019. The review started in May 2018. Public consultation has now closed. The publication of the Returning Officers proposals will be available to view on 30 July 2018.
