A Year of Coffee, Cakes and Computers

Wealden District Council’s popular Coffee, Cake and, Computers FREE digital skills events are returning throughout 2017 starting at the Luxford Centre in Uckfield from 10am to 12pm on Wednesday 29 March.

These drop-in events are for anyone interested in developing their computer skills or wanting help to get online.   

"I’m delighted that our Coffee, Cake and Computers events are returning in 2017," said Councillor Nick Collinson, Portfolio Holder for Community Leadership. "They are a friendly, relaxed way to get some basic advice or simple questions answered about using computers and the internet. Everyone is welcome, no matter what your level of ability. And there’s no need to book, just drop in."  

"Using computers and the internet are now essential everyday skills and Wealden District Council is committed to helping our residents to be able to do so confidently."

As well as the Uckfield event, further Coffee, Cake and Computers are scheduled in 2017 in: 

  • Herstmonceux – 26 April, Herstmonceux Village Hall, 10am-12pm
  • East Dean – 21 September, East Dean Village Hall, 10am-12pm
  • Heathfield – 8 November, State Hall, 10am-12pm 
  • Attendees are welcome to bring their own laptop or tablets but there will also be some tablets available for use on the day.
